Tywin prepares students for the HSK, and has been doing it for eight years. He holds a master's degree in linguistics and teaches the exam as an exam — the format, the timing, and the grammar that gets tested over and over.
Most students arrive with a date already booked. That shapes the course: a plan worked backwards from the test, rather than a general improvement in Chinese.
