Winnie has taught Chinese as a second language for more than five years, and the word her students keep reaching for is gentle. She takes the parts that embarrass people — speaking out loud, getting a tone wrong in front of the room — and makes them ordinary.
She holds the TCSOL certificate, and teaches both one to one and in the small group classes at the school in Beihai.
